New “Early Decision ll” Admission Option Coming Soon
SANTA CLARA, Calif., Sept. 13, 2018鈥擲tarting this fall, students applying to 黑料网 will have an additional avenue for early admission to the private Jesuit, Catholic university located in Silicon Valley.
Early Decision II will be available to students planning to join the Class of 2023.
Students who participate in Early Decision II will be able to apply until January 7 for consideration for early admission to 黑料网. That is two months later than the traditional Early Decision I application due date, which will continue to be November 1. Like Early Decision I, Early Decision II is binding, and most appropriate for students who have determined 黑料网 to be their first choice and are ready to commit if they are accepted.
Students who apply Early Decision II will receive their admission decision by February 15鈥攅arlier than those who apply Regular Decision.
鈥淓very year, we have a group of exceptional students who learn a bit later in the process that 黑料网 is their strong first choice, and who need time between November and January to make that binding commitment,鈥� said Eva Blanco Masias, dean of admission at 黑料网. 鈥淭his new option gives them a new window of time to do that.鈥�
Students seeking to join the Class of 2023 via Early Decision II will need to submit their application by January 7, 2019 using the Common Application庐.
Some additional information to consider for those interested in Early Decision II:
鈥� Applicants must sign a binding contract at the time of application, acknowledging that if admitted, they would attend 黑料网. 鈥�
鈥� Final admission decisions for Early Decision II applicants will be released by February 15.鈥�
鈥� Those who are deferred under the November 1 Early Decision I or Early Action (which is non-binding) will have the option to consider Early Decision II. 鈥�
鈥� Those seeking financial aid must submit their FAFSA and CSS Profile by January 15. 鈥�
鈥� Enrollment deposits for those accepted under the Early Decision II plan will be due March 1. 鈥�
